Fluffy

Pic of the day: Washed, spiced and fluffed my hair again. But there's no two ways about it: Either I have to cut it, or not. Wait, that's two ways. I have to cut it. Perhaps. Soon. At least I don't live on Manhattan, so I can afford a haircut any day.

Last day for my tax return form. To cheat or not to cheat, that is the question ... There is something asymmetric in the fact that you can be fined for cheating a little on your taxes, while the folks who spend your hard earned money on all manner of folly get paid for it. Some day soon we should consider inventing democracy.

Yes, I've been playing Civ 2 again. Another place where you have to carefully consider cheating or not. Oh well, at least I'm not married.
Anyway, I'm doing better on the Tradeworld scenario this time. I've invested heavily in education and production, and built a modern navy. The Greeks are still breeding like wabbits, and they're regarding me as their arch enemy. But as fast as they can load troops onto their ships and set out for my continent, I sink them. "4 units destroyed."

Weather: The morning here was bright and sunny. I accidentally observed this because I had fallen asleep so early yesterday. But as the day marched on, so did the clouds and finally it was raining pretty heavily.

I've never noticed before, but spiders look larger when your feet are bare.

Oh great. They just called from work. (No, I don't know why they were there in the first place.) The water is flowing in and nobody knew how to shut down the computer system properly. I directed one of them over the phone. This could be fun tomorrow. I'm tempted to skip sleeping tonight and go there early. But I'm sure I will be able to resist that temptation later in the night. :)

Did I mention that I'm all out of chocolate? Forgot to buy with me yesterday. Somehow I'm only now starting to realize that it was Saturday yesterday, not today. And the weekend is almost over! [Panic, Panic, Panic?]
