I have a slight fever this evening. Was at work long though, as usual on thursdays. There's always something to pass time with. :)
Did you folks all know that I've never been outside Norway? Not even to Sweden or Denmark. I may be very nearly the only Norwegian at my age who can claim this. Though there may be a few severely handicapped and retarded people who have not moved about much either. No, seriously, I think it is very rare. Norwegians seem to love travelling. Perhaps I would too, if I had a good laptop computer. :) Though i guess I am just not the type. I also sold my car years ago. It wasn't much of a car, anyway, and I couldn't drive it much without a driver's license. Which, I found, wasn't worth the time and money. It still isn't. And now I have friends all over the world. Well, not many, but they sure are thoroughly scattered. :)
I've generally followed the philosophy that if lots of people do a thing, there is no reason why I should do it too, unless it is obviously useful. In the class of eating and drinking useful. Otherwise I prefer to supplement my friends rather than copy them. We don't go around with two right hands, after all. There must be some variation. I cannot say that I regret this. In fact, I doubt I could have done otherwise. I was born like this, I think. I sure do get a deep satisfaction from being me, however dull it may seem to the casual observer. :)
