Pick of the day: Meet Roger, the virtual Chihuahua!
It seems, sadly, that P.F. Magic (the company behind Dogz and Catz) has died on us. [1] Certainly none of the old web addresses seem to even exist, somewhat surprising given that Petz 3 should be out around now. But on the bright side, Dogz II was cheap in the local games store. The hyperactive Chihuahua seems like an obvious citizen of the Chaos Node. The first thing it did after adoption was to play with the paint bucket, giving itself the nice red "shirt". Soon thereafter, it crashed the computer. But with eyes like that, it's going to get a few more chances. :)
Another fairly long day in town. At least there are coming up new windows decorations at a lively pace. The job's new e-mail system finally seems to work. And best of all, I can now see exactly who actually read the e-mail I send, and who just politely ignore it. And then take measures accordingly. MUAHAHAHAHA!
It's freezing cold outside now, but very little snow. That's quite fine by me, though the farmers will probably want snow. It isolates the roots of the plants so they don't freeze in the winter. (The isolating effect of snow is quite impressive. Another great invention. And being one of the whitest things around, snow certainly also makes the winter a lot less dark. And it's made from cheap, readily available raw materials...)
