Pic of the day: Picture continued from yesterday. Zooming forwardAt this point, you can clearly see the structure of the galaxy, and make a good guess at where in the galaxy my little space empire is located. Well, it did not look so little when I was traveling inside it, but it certainly looks little from out here. We can now see the neighboring arms of the spiral galaxy, and the center is clearly somewhere near the lower left corner, but still outside the picture. I could have flags elsewhere in the picture if I flew through a wormhole to some random part of the galaxy and plonked down colonies there. I don't see much use for that, though. It would be even harder to keep track of my empire if it was scattered like that. Then again, if I landed in a place where there were many free stars with rare spices, it might be worth a try... perhaps later... |
