Fast forward

Because you deserve it! Eh, no, because I am 3 weeks late with my journal and I have people waiting for my Sims stories and stuff happens at work (that secret part of my life, you know).

So as to not leave you entirely disappointed, I'll repeat something I wrote in my quick and not too dirty LiveJournal.

The New Testament says: "He who has two shirts, should share with him who has none."

Socialism says: The state should take one of the shirts from him who has two, and give to him who has none.

The two are superficially similar, and their material goal is the same, but they differ greatly in execution.

In contrast to both of the above, there is also a political right that says: He who has two shirts, deserves it. He who has none should just try harder.

Socialism is the more feasible alternative because the poor are far more motivated to do something about their poverty than the rich are, and there are a lot more of them. But this version causes less overall happiness and personal growth. I guess since we failed to pick up the good version, we are punished with the bad one.
