Pic of the day: Abnormal conditions, though not quite as bad here.

Short: Dark & stormy night

Did I mention that it has been raining almost daily for some weeks now? And last night we had a storm of sorts. Very little thunder, but lots of wind and rain. Horizontal rain that tries to get into the house, although for some reason this did not happen here. Or at least I never saw any of it today when I checked in the afternoon.

What I did see last night however was that the Internet disappeared on me. I started to get flashback to last winter when I spent two months without Internet at home. Woe! And with the storm, nobody would send techies out to fix it. It would just not be safe. But the storm faltered in the morning. I went to work, and the storm dissipated completely. By the time I was home, the Internet was back too.
