Dirty mound of snow

Pic of the day: The tail end of winter.

Fast forward

Spring is definitely coming now, but hesitantly, like a once spurned lover. (Not that I would know anything about that, of course. I shamelessly stole this expression from the voices in my head.) The fields are still covered in snow, but birds chirp in the bushes and the sides of the roads and rivers are bare. And it doesn't snow anymore, though it sometimes tries in the morning. I no longer have to burn anything in the fireplace, and most days I can turn off the electric heating before I go to work, as the big windows trap the afternoon heat before I return.

Indoors I continue to move software over to the new PC, and play Oblivion and City of Heroes the way they were meant to be played. This causes my arm to hurt, well at least Oblivion does until I get used to it. I just have to not do it long in one stretch. And now that I can walk again (though I don't walk as long as I did last week) the blood circulation should improve. I remember my mother also suffered from knotted muscles when she was my age and a way up from there. I don't think she got much exercize except for work, and her works was too static to be good for her muscles. Having inherited a lot of her genes, I have to take care and use the knowledge she never had the opportunity to get.
