Coded green.
Pic of the day: Took this picture some other day, as I forgot in the chaos. (Yes it is still the same washing machine as in the "dimension of lost and lonely socks" entry. ^^) Things that don't workThis week I washed clothes. Not a big surprise, even a bachelor must wash his clothes sooner or later. (Although I have a lot to choose from so I can put it off for a while...) I loaded up the washing machine downstairs with a normal amount of clothes, started it, and let the hours pass. When I finally came to see if it was finished, there was a lot of water on the floor. Turns out that the water level sensor had malfunctioned early on, when the machine was first filling with water. So it continued to draw in water. Eventually it was full, and water was coming out of the top corners. Thanks to the safe and foolproof Swedish design, water had not come into the engine or the electonics. Instead it just flowed harmlessly out on the floor. It had done that the whole time, rather than actually washing the clothes. I turned the program knob (it is not really programming like in a computer program) and the machine started washing. But the first time it was to change water, it did the same thing again. I had to manually turn the knob past the point where it takes in water. However, for some reason it worked from there on out. See, this is what I mean when I say: If I don't buy a computer, I am just going to waste the money on bills. I think there is a high probability of new washing machine in the house at some future point. |
