Coded green.
Pic of the day: Some people have to lead the way and pull the others after them. Of course it would help if we knew where we were going, too. HalfwayI am roughly on track with my novel, which is supposed to reach 50 000 words before the end of November. Unfortunately, as most of my regular readers will know, I rarely hold on to a fad for longer than two weeks. This also applies to the writing of books, or at least any one particular book. So also here. So this is the point where I start writing about anything else but in my book. Chapters of discussing my own books (and comparing them favorably to Philip Jose Farmer, as is good and proper, because his endings suck so much that I am better by not writing endings at all). Chapters of playing Sims2 and City of Heroes. Because, after all, this is a romance novel and CITY OF HEROES IS BETTER THAN SEX. At least if you are a Spine/Regen scrapper, because you can explode all night and not grow tired. Not that I wrote that in my book. Of course I may have a very biased view of sex as well. My weird day rhythm is about to change again, I guess all this extra sleeping is a sign of that. For a couple weeks it has been kinda reversed, with me sleeping in the evening and waking up in the wee hours, going to work early and falling asleep not long after I came home. This was kinda nice, I racked up some time at the job and still got my writing done (just barely). But my internal clock keeps moving, and gradually I am about to return to being awake in the night and sleepy in the morning. This is where I stay most of the time. Work keeps me from fulfilling my natural sleep cycle, so it cannot move on but gets stuck there. I am not continuing to upload the novel. You can read about Sims2 and City of Heroes right here. If you can't wait till I write about them again, there is plenty in the archives. ^^ I'll keep writing out the month, though, because it is the principle of the thing. Sometimes you just have to keep ticking, you know? This may be the greatest flood of creativity unleashed since God rested on the 7th day (figuratively speaking, I sincerely hope) and we are trailblazers for a new era where everyone can be a writer. I don't really think morphogenetic fields exist in a physical sense, but I think humans are influenced by the "Zeitgeist", the spirit of the times. It is also probably more word of mouth than telepathy. But even so, if we want a future where anyone can sit down and write a novel, someone has to go first through the jungle and hack the way with a machete. That's us. That's why we are called "hack writers". ^^' |
