Short: Summer is here!

Well, only in the living room, so far. The large double-insulated windows to the south do an excellent job of capturing the heat once there is some actual sun, even if it is in the winter. But there are limits. This is the first time in months that the room is actually warm. In part this is because there has been almost no sunshine this winter. It has been overcast almost all the time, raining before the snow came.

It is still not as much of a greenhouse as the old Chaos Node apartment was, built halfway into the ground and with big triple-insulated windows. (One more layer than here.) Still, today it was warmer in the living room than in my home office, where two fairly powerful PCs are running day and night.

Of course it is still weeks till this becomes a reliable thing and I no longer need to heat the house in any way. But it is still a day to note.
