Pic of the day: Am I being philosophical? Just a tiny bit, I think. To errThey say that to err is human, but actually animals do it a lot too. So do computers, though theirs are usually human errors, just magnified. Even I make the occasional error, and what is worse, I don't notice until later. Today, for instance, I corrected a spelling error in my 9 years ago entry. It had passed unobserved for all these years, although I usually read my years-ago entries every year (despite my frequent resolutions to stop reading them and spend the time writing new ones instead). Actually I thought of this as symbolic of my life. The older I grow, the more past mistakes I see. If nothing else then because there is a lot of past for errors to be in. But sometimes it is more than clerical errors. Sometimes it is the errors of my ways. Like the years when I bought lots and lots of new computer games. Or the years when I bought lots and lots of clothes. But if I hadn't been who I was then, would I have been who I am now? Probably not. |
