Sims 2: Craft week 2

And we are reporting from the Craft household, where Darius has just had his birthday! Congrats on your teenhood, Darius! Nice threads, too!

Darius: Thanks. Doesn't look like anyone else is interested though.

Well, there is always a lot to do in a large family. Not that this is anywhere near a record. Anyway, what are your plans for the future?

Darius: I want to earn lots of money, like my father!

Er, your father is NOT earning lots of money. Not for lack of trying.

Darius: But he also wants to earn lots of money. Just like me!

Are you OK with this, Roger? I don't want to kick you out against your will, but...

Roger: Al is engaged to be married and kids are sure to follow. Besides, I have met someone that made me want to get my own double bed.

This is a bit exciting, since you will be the first new household to be added to the play list. Well, technically the dorm is first, but that's just not the same.

Roger: Glad to be of service. I am sure you will be there too.

Of course.

You are out working in the middle of the night, not to mention winter?

Al: It is hard to find time for work when you have a large family to look after. They all want attention. And we could really need the money.

These wobblers you make now have a much better profit margin. When you get your gold crafting badge, you should really start seeing the dough roll.

Al: I hope so. Hannah is eager for the wedding, but I feel like I am a lousy provider. Each week I'm a little deeper in debt.

Like I told you last week, you are building human capital. Badges, skills, even friendships can help your family later. Don't lose faith, and don't catch a cold now! We don't want to postpone that wedding till next week!

Another one is sneaking away!

Grant: College, finally. Here I come!

You won't be the only popularity sim there. See you in Tertiary Education!

Darius: I'm glad you keep coming over to play just like when we were small, Shelly. You're really a good friend.

Shelly: Hey Mr Angel, aren't they supposed to fall in love with me when I do this?

It is known to happen, but Darius seems to be immune.

Shelly: He really is so dense. 'Come over to play'...

Congrats on leveling up to teen! W00t!

Linda: Am I smexy nao or what?

So what are your plans for the future?

Linda: I want to have a family! And I want to become a superhero too, just like my brother Grant.

But Grant is not a super... oh wait, I get it this time.

Darius: When I have a birthday, everyone ignores it. When my baby sister has, even my brother is back to cheer for her.

Linda: I'm a cute girl. You are just a boy.

Darius: Can't let our dad bring home the bacon all alone, you know.

Linda: We have to help provide for the family! So he can marry and have a baby.

You guys... your father is going to weep when he finds out, he'll be so touched!

Darius: He always weeps when the bills come anyway.

Shelly: Come get BACKRUB meow!

Darius: What's with that tone? Is she trying to tell me something?

Just enjoy it. The future of backrubs is always uncertain. It is great to have a childhood friend that comes over on her own every day, isn't it?

It is Sunday and the wedding party is on!

Al: It is a shame we couldn't afford decoration or fancy food, but at least the place is clean.

Don't worry. This is for you two. The others are just extra. Well, I guess Hermione does have some feelings about it too.

There are only two things more awkward than an awkward teen - two awkward teens!

Shelly: (If I pretend to dance and then 'accidentally' bump into him with my butt... guys like butts, don't they?)

Darius: (If I just stand here without moving, perhaps she'll bump into me with that cute little butt of hers.)

Hey that's your CHILDHOOD FRIEND you're thinking about! Do you have no shame?

Al: (Married!)

Hannah: (...to Al!)

Al: (Our marriage...)

Hanna: (...bed!)

Hannah: Time to do something about the population statistics, don't you think?

Another first for the photo album! I mean... I'm going to go look after the kids now!

Awake and listening, are we Linda?

Linda: Oh hi, Mr Angel. A lot of things have happened lately, don't you think?

Yes, this is a very active family. I enjoy my stay here.

Linda: I've heard you sometimes see the future. I wonder how long it is before I can have a wedding too, and a husband of my own?

Linda... you were just a cute little toddler when you came here, and you are already a beautiful young woman. Time flies like a whirlwind, your lives are so painfully short by my standards. You really shouldn't be in such a hurry to grow up. For you, time flows only one way, and when you are there, you can never go back here, except in your memories.

Linda: That was an evasion, wasn't it?

It was also true. But family sims are my favorites, so yes you will definitely have a loving, caring husband and as many kids as you want, or until the house is full. And you will definitely be a hero, one way or another.

Linda: Thank you, Mr Angel.

You should get some sleep now. I'm off to look after the other families, but I will be back to watch over you while you sleep.
