Pic of the day: Of course, Tsunami is a Japanese word, and all Japan-lovers are likely to know about them. Here from the anime Narue no Sekai, The World of Narue, an otherwise light-hearted love story about a boy and an alien girl.

Short entry

At work, I installed the bluetooth keyboard & mouse which I had bought for the pocket PC but which totally did not work with that. It is a nice keyboard in its own right, although not worth what I gave for it.

Lately, I have felt tired in my legs as if exhausted, as if I had run or walked a long distance and not had time for my muscles to recharge. I have indeed taken some long walks, but I have had plenty of time after that to fully recover. But somehow I don't. It is as if the system that recharges my muscles is malfunctioning. A rather disconcerting feeling. I can walk around quite fine and even walk the stairs at work, but I don't feel much motivated for long walks (much less jogging of any kind) when I don't bounce back like I should.

Actually it could well be my whole body, it is just that the leg muscles are the ones I actually use.

The number of missing Norwegians is dwindling rapidly after the tsunami. It seems the government has exaggerated the disaster to a very high degree. Still, there are dozens of people missing so it is still noticeable in a small country such as ours. I know someone at work whose relative is missing some relatives, I think that is pretty typical of how it is. The world is a small place, and not least Norway. (Well, actually the country is pretty long but sparcely populated.)

It is hard to imagine people did not know what was happening when the sea suddenly pulled back several hundred meters. If I had seen that, I would have screamed at people around me: "Tsunami! Monster wave! An asteroid has hit the sea!" and then run for the hills, all the way praying to God to accept my ugly rotten soul into his heavenly kingdom. Yeah. I've actually dreamed about that, years ago, so I have a good idea how I would react. In fact, I have dreamed about tsunamis at least twice over the last few years, even though they have not happened around here since the ice age or so, and I live in the hills anyway.
