Coded green.
Pic of the day: No photos of my semi-secret workplace, but this should set the mood nicely. Yes, we have no desksToday I returned from a week of vacationing at home with my sims. It wasn't a bad day for having slept less than 3 hours. The place is finished torn down and is now being built again, still with people trying to work there. My workplace has disassembled almost all the old desks and given them away in preparation for the new desks that were ordered for delivery one of these days. Then they get a phone call that the production of the desks have not yet started and they likely won't be here until a month from now. That's not going to happen. People were not amused. And the supplier won't be so casual once they realize that they are set to lose the Norwegian state as a customer unless they get their thumbs out. But it will still be some interesting days before the desks arrive. (Due to the socialist poison that still lingers in our economic system, the State has its heavy hand in something like half of the country's economic activity, although some of it is rather indirect.) ***It is bitter cold of winter outside, but not snow. No snow fits me excellently, but the lawn is not going to be happy. If there are more days like this, the frost will kill the roots. Also, the living room is now a good alternative to the fridge for storing perishables. I could probably afford to heat it, but with the size of my household I don't really need "global warming" of the house. I can hardly believe I paid off both the new computer and all the dental work before interest accrued on my credit card. I still seem to have plenty for the January bills. (I'm not sure why, but it seems that every company wants to dump bills on people in January when ordinary citizens are broke from the holidays. Perhaps they hope people can't pay so they can take outrageous late fees.) Of course, I may still break another tooth or something. |
