Coded green.
Pic of the day: Not quite my experience. Root canalI was wrong. The tooth I broke off was very much alive, despite the lack of pain. I know this for sure because my dentist killed it this morning. Since it was broken at the very base, there was nothing left to rebuild it on. So he decided to kill off a perfectly healthy root and convert it to anchor for a new synthetic tooth. I am not sure what to say about that, but I guess it would have died horribly anyway sooner or later since there was no enamel left to protect it. The dentist scraped out the root and stuffed in some white plastic dough that tastes of cloves. It is supposed to prevent infection. (It worked this time too, since I am still alive at the time of writing, in December.) Turns out that the tooth which was already dead and had its root canal filled was the corresponding tooth on the left side. More about that later, Light willing. The expenses have only just begun. |
