Coded gray.
Pic of the day: One little mistake could lead to total defeat. Like, for instance, not learning the lessons from the anti-library. Read this insteadBased on historical trends for the year, we turkeys look to the Thanksgiving season with confidence. I write a lot of fluff, and then once in a while I write something that makes people think - those who are capable of doing so at all. I consider those my best entries, and no doubt so do my returning readers. You want to see the world from outside, to question the obvious. What if earning more money doesn't make people happier? What if Christianity teaches pretty much the opposite of what Christ did? What if we are going the way of the Neanderthals? What if we move backward and forward in time but never know it, because both the past and the future are fixed and look the same every time we come there? What if? What if we just don't know all the things we think we know? I have in the past recommended the blog of Bjørn Stærk, a man who thinks deeper than most. I don't know if he thinks deeper than I, quite possibly. But he has one thing I don't: He doesn't write unless he has something important to say. Which is why you may have forgotten him already. But here's a link to one of the most awesome pieces he has ever written. In fact, some of the most awesome writing I have ever read. Lessons from the anti-library. "It's like when you look up at the night sky and glimpse the true, insane scale of the universe, but only for a minute, before it returns to being a roof with pretty lights again." Be sure to bookmark it for reading again when you have plenty of time. |
