Screenshot Boys Be...

Pic of the day: "About 15 billion years ago, the universe was born. There are approximately 200 billion stars in the Milky Way. Between the stars, there might be wars going on. But it has nothing to do with me at all." (The introduction to the anime Boys Be....)

That instead of this

It is either this or that. Tonight, I choose that. My novel isn't as good as last year's perhaps, but I actually liked chapter 12 (no real innuendo this time, and a decent amount of childlike sense of wonder). As I've warned, however, I can't keep writing a novel and long journal entries. Particularly not with a strep throat, meaning I can't dictate. Also, the day is only so long. The best arrangement would no doubt be to write novel all night (when the inspiration is at its highest) and sleep all day. However, since I work half time, I cannot sleep all day. Sleeping only 3 hours every 24 hours is a sure recipe to get ever sicker, which is not what I need neither for my writing nor for my work. And not for my journal either.

Two years ago this day, I was fed up with my novel. I am not now. But my hand is bothering me. Because of the lack of sleep I can't take the pills I should. This is pretty noticeable by now. Also, I still have the sinus & tooth infection. I slept today but I'll have to go back to work tomorrow, and one day's sleep is not enough to heal it.

I'd like to say some choice words about natural theology, but due to the above constraints, I will keep it short. Natural theology sucks. Based on what we know about the universe currently, it seems unlikely to have been created by a particularly benevolent God. This could be because we don't really know God or because we don't really know the universe, probably both of the above. Given that the final fate of the universe has changed like 4 times in my lifetime, I don't really see cosmology as a smart place to start laying the foundations for your faith.

Goodnight.
