Coded green.
Pic of the day: Another topic, another topic! Even if I have nothing to say, I say it anyway. Some other journaler said long ago that "quantity is a quality of its own". But is it a good or a bad one? (Screenshot from Ichigo 100%.) MetaI've been writing a lot over these seven years, haven't I? Too much, I think. I wanted to share everything with you ... well, almost everything, and at least a balanced view. So much that, when you look at me through the veil of time, you would recognize my true form. So much that when I am gone, you would know me like you know a friend or perhaps even a family member. I think I have succeeded well enough in that. But who among you would want that anyway? It was a good idea I had after a couple years, to code each of my entries with a color. That way those who aren't interested in computer games and such can skip the blue ones, and those who come here only for the newspaper-like commentary on economy, politics, economy, philosophy, science and economy can stick with the gray entries. And the few who are even more pure-hearted than I (or, on the contrary, easily exited the wrong way) can avoid the yellow and especially the red entries. Yes, I like this feature. But there is still a lot of green. A LOT of green. And who wants to read about the life of a stranger? Or even a friend? I've seen children try to tell their own parents about their day and be ignored. Really good parents too. So... I think I need to cut down on the greenery. ***I'm also thinking of re-designing the front page, perhaps while moving it over to chaosnode.net. Back when I started this, it was kinda exotic when people wrote about themselves on the Internet. Now, it is only embarrassing. The millions of baby pictures and vacation pictures, as if you people can't see your guests writhe in unspeakable boredom even when you show them in your own living-room. The last thing anyone would need would be reading some kind of running autobiography. So I need a less disgusting approach. Something to show that the Chaos Node is good for your soul. Hmm.
"Magnus Itland – the man and the mission" perhaps? ^_^* ***OK, I guess this needs to mature a little more. But I'm serious about this one thing: I am worried that what I really mean to say, is drowning in the mundane chatter. When someone comes to look for valuable pearls, there is too much grass in the field where they're hidden, he'll give up and leave. Because I do have things to say. I live a life that is different. Perhaps most people would deem it inferior, but if so at least it has train wreck value. I think of it mainly as different. If humankind is to live on, it will need to move more in my direction. Not entirely, or our race would come to a sudden halt. But there are things common people could benefit from learning from me. Not that common people are ever likely to find this place, since there's no blinking ads for it on the entertainment portal sites. Then again, this type of common people are headed for extinction. The people who will be common next, those are the ones I write for. Those who will face the Next Big Thing. For the shape of the human world is about to change. No, it is changing before my eyes. How about yours? |
