Pic of the day: "I definitely don't have any dreams" says the apathetic girl from the anime W Wish. I definitely have, but mostly at night. Well, at least as far as concerns dreaming about myself at least.

Fast forward

I have what seems to be a light sinusitis on the left side, but it is not intense enough to much affect my enjoyment of life. The weather is also OK, allowing me to take my usual 1 hour walk to the shop and back.

Having slept too little through the week, I slept quite a bit into the day and had a long, weird dream.

In my dream, there was this big, bulky ring that contained a small, glowing fragment of green stone. It was supposed to give people magical power but at the same time make them evil. Due to circumstances I don't remember, I found it necessary to take care of the ring myself. (I was, I believe, a prince of the kingdom, but this monarchy was kinda informal.) Anyway, the ring had very little effect on me one way or another. But it greatly affected people's attitude toward me. The evil ones wanted the ring for themselves by any means, while good people were quite skeptical of me since they expected me to have become evil.

I am not sure if the green glowing stone was meant to be Illearth Stone (from the Chronicles of Thomas Covenant, which I recently read) or Kryptonite. Probably Illearth, since it turned people evil. (Not that Kryptonite didn't seem to have a similar effect in Smallville the TV series.) The ring itself might be a shadow of Lord of the Rings, although it looked different. I have no idea why I dreamed about this now, though.
