Coded green.
Pic of the day: The spring fashion has arrived, at least for the young. Fashion and fadsI am happy to see that the fashion for young girls this year is colorful and bright, and not particularly sexy. This is certainly a welcome change. And in human life, it is said that change is the only constant. Certainly it can seem that way to me. Most people sway with the wind of fashion, rising and falling in unison like waves on sea under mighty winds. But as usual, I seem to move to a different beat. It seems that this month's fad is shopping. Last month's fad was computer games. But both Civ3 and The Sims have faded, although DAoC still keeps holding my interest. But now the money is flowing out. I've bought the Pocket PC already, and ordered some stuff for it. The desktop PC is already being assembled as well. And now I've even bought clothes, for the first time in a long long time. Admittedly these were not the bright and colorful clothes as depicted in today's illustration. No, the two trousers I bought were utterly bland and unremarkable, one a dull kinda khaki shade and the other a faded brown color. They were both thick and solid but reasonably soft, good for everyday use. As well they may be, since I've actually worn two of my old ones to the point of holes. Still, I am sure some needlework could fix that problem, if I really didn't want to shop new clothes. But I kinda like shopping. At least while this fad lasts. ***
Or maybe, maybe it's the times we've had, Suede: Trash, from the album Coming Up. I bought the CD years ago already, after listening to this song and Lazy together with my best friend; she used to play those two in particular and they are also the best. And whenever I play them, I remember those lazy days and the crazes and the fads. But as something long ago and far away, like a dream from which I've woken slightly before it was finished. |
