Stacks of books

Pic of the day: What is wrong with this picture? I have carried a plastic bag full of books with me out of the house every workday for over a month, and these are still left. How can that possibly happen? True, the space you see was pretty much packed full of books as tight as bricks in masonry, but still. I am sure I must have carried my own weight in books. Are they breeding or something? Hiding in a pocket dimension?

Fast forward

I'm still behind on my journal, and I'm still playing The Sims 2 and still writing about them in my livejournal from time to time.

Actually I should be packing, I have to move in a few days. Also at that time I am likely to be without a phone line for a while: Telenor has a monopoly on copper cable and in my experience they are amazingly incompetent and slow. So it's anybody's guess how long it will take to get the phone line moved, even though it is the same central and there is a physical line installed already. It doesn't help that it is in the height of the holidays: I have ordered the phone line to be moved on December 27th. It is possible (but steadily more unlikely) that I move my body and bed before that.

Whether I move first or the phone does, from that time I'll be without ADSL for a while. LOS, my ISP, cannot move my internet connection until I have the new telephone connection. It could easily be well into January before I am connected again. Hopefully I will be able to write a notice from work computer now and then.
