Pic of the day: Screenshot from inspirational anime Boys Be. My character isn't that cute, though.

Home alone

Actually, I am home alone almost every night. But today I did not go to work at all, even though it was Wednesday. This was of course due to my sick leave. And I did walk to the shop and bought some groceries. Well, chocolate and milk mostly. Milk mostly, and mostly in the form of yogurt. But that's beside the point. The point is, I should feel happy and relaxed because I did not go to work today. Instead, as the evening progressed, I felt increasingly tense and nervous. As it turned out, this might have been largely caused by the agitation of my bowels. Oh well, I've seen worse.

Dictating to my computer is slow work compared to typing, but I still got more than 2000 words done. Yes, chapter 11 is finished and uploaded. Not surprisingly it is named "house call". Please don't hold me responsible for your imagination about what goes on between the chapters. No, seriously! Marianne's version is pretty close to the truth on this, even though she has been lying like a used-car salesman for most of the chapter...

I tried the painkiller gel today. It was OK, I guess. I used only a small dose. Then again, my hand hasn't hurt much today, since I haven't been typing much today, and since I haven't been to work today. It simply doesn't have much to complain about! There is still a lingering stiffness and tenseness, which goes all the way up to the side of my neck. But it doesn't manifest as a clear local pain anywhere for any length of time. You know, it sounds like I am complaining about lack of pain! That's really disgusting, no matter how cool painkillers I've got!

My throat is pretty much used up for today. The two of you who have been reading my novel can go get the latest chapter now, if you want. The easiest thing would probably be to bookmark the page with the introduction and chapter list. Here.
