Pic of the day: Here, have a nice nature photo. Be happy. Don't try to combine science and theology. Limit breakIt is Saturday evening, and I still can't post the essay that I wrote as my Friday entry. I just can't bring myself to do it. It is an essay on Evolutionary Christology. Dr. A.B. Kelly has written quite a bit about this topic, but he does so in a literary university-level style which common people don't understand. I write so people can understand, and quite possibly can't avoid understanding. That's the problem. I realized after finishing that people should not understand this. The normal human mind would risk horrible damage. Some of my core readers may have the mental agility to handle it, but by posting it on the net it would lie wide open for innocent souls, even long after my death. I cannot do this to the world. I think. I am certainly not ready to do it now. Dr Kelly refrains from taking the last horrifying step to the logical conclusion: That God is acting in the world ... but not the God you'd think. I agree: We cannot expose mankind to this notion. Whether true or false, its destructive power must wait till humanity is more able to handle it, if ever. ***Excuse me while I overdose on chocolate and Pepsi. See you later, if I survive the sugar high. |
