Captain Azur

Pic of the day: OK, let's have a vote. Has this fellow read too many old Nova Notes, or did he just happen to trip his buffalo-sized stack of old superhero comics which then fell over him and knocked him to the floor, and when he finally emerged he looked like this?

Random encounter, synchronicity, fate or the will of God? Anyway, I met Dan's mother (the Dan of yesterday's diary) in town today quite unexpectedly and got further details. For good measure, later in the day I met a guy who I knew in Smith's Friends in Stavanger, years and years and years ago. I'm not sure how I'm supposed to feel about God reading my diary too ... but it's not like He will find any great surprises.

I got up an hour or so earlier than usual (not that that says much) because I hit the off button rather than the pause/snooze button on my clock radio; so I had to wake up or risk oversleeping a lot. I've been less tired on job lately, but this is probably because I've been sleeping for an hour or more in the afternoon. The last two afternoons I've not been sleeping at all, though. :)
Actually I think I'll cut this diary a bit short and go to bed early, only 1 in the night!

Before that, though, I might mention that I finally finished Brin's book Brightness Reef. It turned out to be the first part of a trilogy, and ended pretty much a cliffhanger. It's taken me quite some time to get through it, but it's really my kind of book, with a heaping of tentacles, carapaces and weird reproductive habits. I've always had a thing for tentacles and other non-traditional appendages. As for reproduction, I guess I better not get into that tonight. :)

Goodnight world!
