Coded green.
Pic of the day: A small heap of snow is clinging to its wintry ways in the garden. Ordinary is goodSecond day in a row with no shivering malady, no deep and scary nausea, and no colon spasms. Life is good. I still don't eat, only drink, except for yogurt, and even that in moderation. My main concern now is filling up my body's water reserves. The weather keeps getting better, more sunny and spring-like. The snow is only found in the drifts where it finds "strength in numbers", and hiding in the shadows. The invasion of the sun seems sure to succeed this time. I can see why religious Scandinavians find a connection between spring and the gospel of Easter. I'm not sure this is quite as obvious in the Middle East though, it is bound to be warmer there. (Although Jerusalem is up in the mountains.) Still, it is wonderful to see the winter shrivel and fade under the daily advance of the sun. I did not go to the shop today. I still have enough food left, with my current intake for sure, to last me over Easter Day. And the mailbox was empty today again. I am not even sure if they bring out mail on Easter Saturday. Most shops have open but the Norwegian mail system is still state owned so they may still have a lighter workload. Although just sorting the stuff that comes in may take the day. It's been two days off, and I suppose the people who write letters on paper still, do this not least when they have days off. What I waited for, however, was the slip telling me that a box awaits me from Amazon.co.uk, with Dragon NaturallySpeaking 8. It is supposed to give 25% increased accuracy over version 7, which is just on the verge of being good enough to prefer over typing. When I don't have laryngitis, which I have now, and can barely talk. So it was good it did not come today, or I would probably have fallen in temptation to try it out. As if I don't have enough temptations. |
