Not complain, just explain

I was woken by the alarm radio, and went to work where we weren't finished till shortly before 8PM. This is not my ideal Saturday. And it is certainly not what I expected when I reduced my workday to 90%.

Actually, I don't think I would mind working on Saturdays if it meant working one hour less the other days. Or better yet, work on Sunday and have Saturday off, the way God meant it to be. But not being home till around 9 in the night, that's over the top. Luckily it happens very rarely. And it is rather easy money. So if I look back on it, I'll probably be thankful for the opportunity.

But up close, I would much have preferred to play my DAoC Reaver during the day when the tombs are mostly empty, and watch anime. I've just last night started to watch Mahou Tsukai ni Taisetsu, about a girl who studies magic in a modern world where magic is an accepted career but very tightly regulated. This is the kind of thing I use to write about myself, so of course I am interested! Work, in contrast, is something I'm not likely to write about. As I have repeatedly stated, work is God's curse on man. Though some say that work is the curse of the drinking class. I haven't quite joined those yet, but at days like this I can see where they're coming from.

I just wanted to whine while I was still less than happy. It doesn't usually last long. Thank you for your attention.
