Screenshot The Sims

Pic of the day: Lucky Sims can just stay at home and paint for a living, if they're not too greedy. While I barely even had time to play The Sims today. All work and no play makes Magnus a dull boy!

Non-day

I kinda overslept a little, but don't worry. I still got to spend ca 11 hours at work, and with the commute too I was home not long before midnight. Since I am not supposed to write about work, and since there is no time to just invent something deep and meaningful, consider this day lost.

This makes me wonder once again what's wrong with people in rich countries. I mean, I can see people in Tibet (or in the inner cities of the USA) working hard just to stay alive. But when you not only stay alive, but comfortably so, what's up with all the working? I guess some people like their work, but I don't get the impression that this is so common. It seems to be mostly among groups with higher education. I guess that makes sense, since they must have aimed for that job for many years just to get there.

But seriously, is the difference between a 2 year old sofa and a 20 year old sofa so great that it is worth not having the time to sit in it?

Since I haven't even had time to live, I simply have to postpone my entry on why people read and write smut. I hope if I think about it long enough, I will be able to write something simple. As E. Tegner said, the obscurely spoken is the obscurely thought. I believe I can think clearer than this.

Blur: I'm sorry, I still haven't got the hang on this ICQ thing so I forget to turn it off before I run to work in the morning! There ought to be an option for it to auto-away after a period of inactivity.
