Sunny snow

Pic of the day: Picture taken on a sunnier winter day than today.

Circling the sun

Meh. My subconscious did it again. I wrote this nice little gray entry, based in the fact that North Korea threatens to strike against the local American military while most of the army, navy and air force is occupied in the Middle East. After all, they say, it's our turn after Iraq, so why sit there and wait?

So I wrote a piece about how this would seem to be the fruit of George W. Bush's infamous "axis of evil" phrase last year, and how Just Plain Wrong that was. Then when I am about to upload this, I look at the Year Ago entry and find that I basically say the same thing there, only in advance.

Then I look at the Two Years Ago entry, and find that I was writing about anime (Japanese cartoons) ... evidently this was where I discovered it for the first time. Some days ago, as you may have noticed, I discovered it again. Do I walk in circles like the Earth circles around the sun, year by year?

It may be. I guess I repeat myself more and more. Perhaps this is what would happen to us if we were to live for tens of thousands of years: We would just do the same things over and over again, and not even remember it. Still, I'd like to try.

Yesterday <-- This month --> Tomorrow?
One year ago: Axis or allies
Two years ago: Platonically cute day
Three years ago: Referrals
Four years ago: Dreams & pacifist snipers
