Turned off the alarm clock this night as I crawled to bed. Woke up
at the usual time, but less tired than usual. I'm not sure I'm going
to make this a habit, but it was certainly interesting. (Not that I
wasn't tired. I was. But less than expected and less than usual.)
Got Settlers III today. I don't know if it will run on my machine, which
is already almost a year old. Scrubbed Destiny from my hard disk to make
room. Railroad Tycoon demo went too. No reason to hoard games on the
disk that I don't play any longer.
Half an hour later: As suspected, the game did not run. It changed the
screen resolution to one not supported by my machine, so parts of the
initial controls fell outside the monitor. Among these the OK button to
start the game, which would then presumably have switched to the correct
screen resolution. Oh well. Good thing I didn't pay anything for it.
I may choose to continue to tinker with the setup, or find something
funnier to do. :)
Perhaps flaying the skin off my leg. I have an itty bitty little wound
there that itches like absolute mad, to the point where I seriously
think it would feel better (for a little while) if I just scraped the
skin off. Aaargh! I bet you know the feeling.
