Lately, I’ve been listening to this song, “In God’s Safe Hand”, on YouTube. At first, I thought it started as a trite rephrasing of some of the best-loved “comfy” Bible verses. But something about the end of the song made me curious, and I looked it up.

Turns out that this song was written by a mother suffering from painful terminal cancer, clinging to life to be there for her children while they needed her. Now those Bible verses make a lot more sense, and her personal testimony becomes so much more powerful. I know I could not have felt like writing something like this, even at my age, let alone in the middle of life and responsibilities. It is a testimony of true faith.

I hope this song may bring comfort and strength to someone who needs it.
