Pic of the day: Power up! Screenshot from City of Heroes. In real life I don't have any female healers around, more's the pity. Although in this case she seems to be casting "Increase Density", which I hardly need, at least concerning women.

Fast forward

I am writing on several small essays, some of which I hope to put up here, and also some fiction (which I don't plan to put up here, and I don't know if it will be good enough to put up anywhere). Since I only have hand enough for a few paragraphs each day, that means I won't just babble along here without having anything to say.

The old machine and the new LCD monitor get along fine now, after some initial misunderstandings. (I actually took out the video card and put it back in before it worked. I have no idea why this should help. I just approach these kind of problems in much the same way as a rodent in a cage, trying everything until something clicks. That's after I have used logic and it doesn't work.)

The weather has turned hot, and is growing less and less comfortable that way as the ground and the air and the walls heat up day by day.
