Strangers in Paradise comic book

Pic of the day: Strangers in Paradise. If not for the plural, it could have been a fitting title for my journal. (Though it's hard to beat the current name for sheer descriptive value.)

Boring myself

Today my hand has been hurting a bit again. It could be that I have played too much Morrowind these last few days; but the pain actually started at work and got progressively worse over the workday, even though I didn't type much or mouse much. It is more likely some kind of stress tension.

But whatever it is, it can hardly help that I only sleep 5 to 6 hours each night. No, I don't suffer from insomnia; I just have too many interesting things to do. So for tonight I have resolved to go to sleep earlier. This I plan to achieve by only writing a short journal entry and then play a boring computer game until I am ready to fall asleep. Hopefully I will be less queasy, not more, before that. It isn't dramatic, anyway.

Bought a new shirt on the sale today; 30 percent off. It had two pockets plus a pen holder. I don't buy much clothes anymore, thank the Light. But if I was to buy one this year, this would be the time to do it. The rest of the summer clothes are going out as the fall clothes are coming in.

Today I also bought a few American comics. Some superhero comics and my favorite, Strangers in Paradise. Ironically that's a relationship comic book, no superheroes involved. It also has a fairly long letter column, always a good thing. In some comics the letter column is almost as interesting as the comic itself. A good example of this is another book I bought today, Erik Larsen's Savage Dragon. Larsen regularly has several pages of letters and answers. I tend to spend more time on that than on the comic. I love to see how creators think. (Though in Larsen's case, he also has well-spoken fans, either that or he writes his own fan letters...) I also tend to spend some time each day on the forums for online Web comics, and I like to read their journals, if any.

OK, it is midnight. I had better get on with the boredom already, if possible!
