Sim comic

Pic of the day: Made another Sim Comic about Chaos-kun and his friend Super-chan. Not quite based on real life, this one is titled "Bad Timing is Everything". I'm not so happy with the black & white version. In the future, if any, I shall keep a larger version of the comic. Shrinking to fit in a 800x600 browser loses a bit of detail.

Spreading too thin

So what really happened yesterday? I played The Sims. More to the point, I played it in order to catch pictures to my webcomic. Since I can't draw a stick figure, that's pretty much my only way to make a comic, and I love comics. I may think about cutting out those Sims logos in the corner of the pictures, someday, but right now I'm OK with them. They come automatically when I use the built-in Sim Photo mode. Yes, the game is explicitly fitted with a photo mode. How thoughtful of them! You can even assign a "webcam" to one of the characters and it will continually take pictures of that person. Wowie.

The Sim comic was just an ad hoc solution on Thursday, but I've already made two more. Sadly they give the wrong impression of things if they stand on their own. I have to create a whole story, or at least establish the characters first. So much remains to be done.

Then I sat down and wrote an entry about the fact that some of my online friends seem to be gay, and mused on why Americans seem to consider this more sinful than other sins, which there certainly are enough of over there. (And here too, but we don't mention God on our currency.) I drew parallels to the eating of pork etc. And then I scrapped it, because frankly I don't really know that much about such things.

Then I wrote an entry about free will, but I found out that it looked very strange. This is largely because I think free will only is possible within certain limits, and can only be expanded by understanding ourselves and our motivations better. But my examples were so weird that I gave up.

Then I started writing an entry about stupid human males who want to be friends with girls so they can go to bed with them, and how they make things harder for those of us who actually like girls but don't want to go quite that far. Not to mention that they make it harder for the girls who have to find out who is who. Small coincidences and bad timing don't help. This was what today's comic strip was about.

Then I realized that it was 4 in the night, I was no longer coherent. I might as well post when drunk, and would most certainly regret it later. So I wrote a non-entry and went to sleep.
