Pic of the day: "Yes, yes, eat! Get fatter and fatter!" The irony in this screenshot from the anime Mahou Sensei Negima is that the Japanese, as portrayed here, are with few exceptions outright skinny by western standards. And they still have one of the longest lifespans in the world, so I guess it can't be all that bad. Yes, yes, eating!Good news. My digestion seems to be back to what it was before the onset of the freezing illness. I haven't fed it with lots of fat and fried stuff, but I'm practically eating the same as one month ago. It's not like I was always at perfect health even then, after all, but the symptoms from the horror week have not returned. Perhaps it was, after all, some kind of virus infection. So what am I to do now? Try to regain the lost weight (I used to be like 10% above recommended weight), in case I need it again? Or stick with the lower weight, hoping to gain long-term health improvements from that? I suppose it will work itself out: If I don't do anything active to control it, my weight will probably return to its natural level, which is what it was before this episode. Elegantly, it seems my body is less hungry the more fat it has. Wish all people were that lucky. |
