Back to the fight

How long was Adam in Paradise? (This is a rhetorical question, but I suppose the correct answer is "until the fall"...) Today I came back to work. No new chapters for my novel today, and my hand still hurts a little. Actually, "hurts" is probably not the best word. It is more like numbness; the actual pain is quite weak and diffuse, making it hard to treat with the painkiller gel.

It is kinda ironic that if I had continued with the kind of work I did before -- which involved lots of data entry -- I might already have been well on my way to disability pension. As it is, it will take longer time at least. On the bright side, work is better paid, even here in Norway. This doesn't stop a lot of people from leaving the workforce, the women first, and spending the rest of their lives as pensioners. I know I have mentioned this before, but Norwegians with disability pension generally say in interview that their health is good or very good. It seems ironic indeed that you have to be seriously ill to have a good health. But I think my short-term experiment this month points to the same thing: Not working is the way to improve your health to the level required for the workplace.

Anyway, at home I relaxed by watching several episodes of the anime Psychic Academy. This time I have noticed some inconsistencies that passed me by the first time I saw it, as well as when reading the manga. If Ai and Myuu have 100% aura compatibility, how come their aura powers are so different? And if Myuu's powers are fire based and are much reduced near a river, how come she is always carrying a bottle of water and drinking from it regularly? OK, perhaps all that fire is making her thirsty. But that still doesn't explain why Ai has light based powers if they are 100% compatible. I would like to think that if I was writing a story for worldwide publication, I would at least come up with an explanation for something as glaring as that...

But I wrote nothing at all, except a journal entry.
