Sims2: MP Week 3 Monday

Grady

OK, let us see if we can reduce paradox a little by making the rounds once a day! First out is the Grady household. There seems to be a taxi waiting for Pam!

Pam: I hope this college interruption does not hamper my money making too much. It is already bad enough that I have to pay 40 000, I will probably have more homework too.

Well, you got a couple scholarships.

Pam: Not nearly enough. Man, what kind of world is this where young people have to borrow money just to get an education? Grandma says it wasn't like this when she was young.

When she was young, everyone lived like there was no tomorrow. Luckily there was, but now everyone has to pick up the bills.

Pam: Not fair!

Despite the high cost of living, living remains popular. There could have been an apocalypse, or zombie invasion, or a return to agriculture. Your world is not the worst I have seen. And you are doing well in it.

Pam: Well, see you at college!

Craft

Next up is the Craft family. Good morning Linda!

Linda: Ah, hello Mr Angel! It something the matter?

Not at all! I am just trying to get used to staying one day with each family instead of one week.

Linda: But you stay with us every day every week!

True, but should I for instance make sure to take a picture of each family each day, even if it is a boring day where nothing happens?

Linda: But it is not a boring day! It is a beautiful spring morning and I have made omelettes without burning them for the first time! It is an important milestone for a future mother and wife!

Hannah: Did someone mention future mother? Linda, don't even think about doing this! It is too horrible! The little parasite is smaller than a thumb and it is already killing me! Why did I think this would be a good idea?

Because babies are ultra cute?

Linda: Right! Ultra cute!

Hannah: Don't listen to the voices, they make you do crazy things!

Generally this is good advice, but I'd like to think I am different.

Sharpe

And here we are at the Sharpe residence. Oh my, what is this? Are you serious?

Marcus: Well, she suddenly started kissing me and stuff, and... well, I've had a crush on her for the longest time and we even went out for a while, but now I know that she is the one for me!

No she is not! Mari, we have been over this already. You are engaged to Victor, and yet you autonomously walk up and start macking on Marcus? Is that what a family sim does, you think?

Mari: I want my babies now dangit!

You and Hannah really could use a long talk.

Olsen

This seems familiar. Hans Olsen, you are going to college this year as well?

Hans: It is my last chance, you know. If I want to run five top-level businesses, I need higher education.

As if you could possibly get even one business running here. I feel sorry for you, that just won't happen. Are you sure you don't want to try another aspiration?

Hans: I'll have my businesses or die trying!

Inside, life goes on. Well, most lives do. Now that Harry is no longer among us, Rory is helping Petter with the homework.

Rory: There's no sense crying over every mistake, you just keep on trying...

Rory: Here, take this. It is a gift from Harry. Hopefully it will make things easier when you are studying.

Esther: For me??

Rory: And for the children, when they come home. Place it in the living room so everyone can enjoy it.

Esther: I wonder if they will come home, you know. It is a big world out there.

Ashby

Victor Jordan moves inn with 1000 simoleons!

Victor: Hey, I'm a poor college student! Be glad I saved up at least this much! Wait, who are you anyway?

I am the neighborhood's guardian angel. More exactly I am a resident of a higher dimension that includes and transcends yours, and of which your reality is just a meager shadow.

Victor: So those crazy Micropolitans were right after all!

Well, perhaps not about the skyscrapers.

Mari: Come, my love, let us splash in the puddles like small children!

Moody

Ray: Feels pretty good to have woohoo again, eh? You lucky guy!

Shelly: *is interested*

Garrett: I prefer to say "making love". (whispers) When the kid is around at least.

Shelly: Petter talks a lot about woohoo too, you know. He wants an Inteenimator, whatever that is.

Over my cold, dead keyboard.

Garrett: I have a job now. Fear my importance!

In the slacker career. It really suits you. And the beer belly suits you, too...

Garrett: This beautiful view of the lake is a sign of divine favor, mark my words!

How come the slackers get all the best views? Perhaps I should build an apartment complex on the slope between here and the lake?

Celia: I didn't break the faucet, why do I have to repair it?

You need the skill points.

Besides, Shelly has to clean the whole house.

Shelly: I am still underage you know.

Actually that depends. You are halfway through your teenhood this year. But compared to me you are definitely underage. So anyway, you don't need to hold your skirt, nobody is trying to lift it.

Craft 2

Roger: Ha ha, your jokes are the best!

Linda: Anyway uncle Roger, let us be best friends forever!

Linda: Hey, this is really fun! Thanks for letting me play with you, uncle Roger and aunt Gayle!

And now you are even working in their garden in the moonlight. I am amazed, Linda. You don't really have that many nice points either.

Linda: Well, this professor Gayle is too old to have babies, right? And uncle Roger is scared of them anyway. So if they, you know, pass on without any children... well, it would be natural that a relative inherited the house, right? Someone who needed it for their own babies. And, well, I have two older brothers already at home...

Ah. That explains so much.

Tertiary Education

Meanwhile, at the college, Leon the family sim continues to fail.

Leon: Come get hug!

Dormie girl: *DO NOT WANT*

His friend Orville Hopkins has moved in last week, and adapts quickly to the... atmosphere.

Most surprising perhaps is that Jimmy is the one asking a girl out. Elizabeth Hunter and he has been meeting casually for a while, and he invites her over to The Friendship Factory, the coffee shop back in Micropolis. Well, close to Micropolis anyway. Here she confesses that she has a crush on him, and they have a great date together in the relaxed small town milieu.

He likes her too, and things develop surprisingly fast. (So much for the "Jimmy=gay" faction!)

Elizabeth: I thought I just had a crush on you, Jimmy... but now I know that this is true love!

Right on! You are welcome to settle in Micropolis, of course. Jimmy, you have earned your place as a family founder. Of course, it would help if you loved her as much as she loves you, but I'm sure that will come with time. I mean, just because you hang out with your male friends every chance you get, and occasionally sleep in the wrong bed, doesn't mean you don't really love a nice girl like Elizabeth, I mean deep down, right? Look she is really cute and shy!

Jimmy: ...

And that's all for this time! See you all tomorrow, I hope!

Summary of major events
