Short: New office

Today I went to my new office for the first time, although I did not stay there all day. I met with my 3 coworkers in the new unit, all of which I have met before and I have worked with two of them in the past, one of them recently. The new office was unfamiliar to me, though. It is in a large building - well, by local standards - and I would probably get lost if I started wandering around. I was shown around but soon lost track of where I am. (I have this problem in roleplaying games as well. I have the direction sense of a small girl and could quite possibly get lost at the mall if not for the signs.)

My actual office is about the same size as the old but the ceiling is far higher, twice the height of a tall man. It has large windows out toward the city, whereas in my old office the windows were in toward other windows so I always kept them shuttered. It was bright and clean and I liked it at once. The three other IT people have offices in the same corner corridor as I. The security is very strict so it will be even harder to visit me at work than before, but not many people would want to do that.

I have thrown away almost everything now. I look forward to working at the new place!
